    The fall golf season has come to a close as the Sundance Bulldogs participated in the 2A State Golf meet in Wright this past weekend. Overall, the Bulldog golfers all fared well against their competition. The Lady Bulldogs had two top ten finishers at the state meet as Sheridan Schubarth maintained her consistency and took home a second place finish with a score of 191.     The Lady Bulldogs stayed close to home this week as they traveled to Upton on Friday and played host to the Wright Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Opening play for the weekend on Friday in Upton, the Lady Bulldogs swept the Lady Bobcats 3-0.     It was a late night for the Patriots as lightning delayed the start of their game against the Tongue River Eagles on Friday in Upton. After an hour delay, both teams took to the soggy field, each hoping to gain the momentum needed to put their team on the scoreboard first.     The fall season for golf is nearing an end as the Sundance golf team participated in the Tiger Invitational at Lusk this past weekend.     The Sundance Lady Bulldogs were in Big Horn this past weekend participating in the Big Horn Volleyball Tournament. The Bulldogs opened up with pool play on Friday, going against Greybull, Kaycee and Burns. Sundance split their games against Greybull and Kaycee and swept Burns 2-0. With this, the Lady Bulldogs were put into the Maroon Bracket for Saturday. The opening matchup on Saturday pitted the Lady Bulldogs against the Wright Lady Panthers.     The Sundance Bulldogs traveled to Big Horn to compete in the Big Horn Equestrian Center Meet on Fri., Sept. 9. The Bulldog varsity ran a 5000-meter race.     The US Patriots kicked off the 2022 season against a familiar foe in the Big Horn Rams, on a cool Friday night at Croell Fiend in Sundance.     The Sundance volleyball team went up against bigger schools, which meant tougher competition, this weekend as they participated in the Gillette Invite on Friday and Saturday.     The Sundance golf team stayed close to home this week, hosting the Sundance Invite on Friday and participating in the Upton Invite on Saturday. The Bulldog boys continued to stay right together, with only one stroke separating them, on Friday, at their home course.     The Sundance Bulldog cross country team opened its 2022 season competing in the Newcastle Invite on Thurs., Aug. 25. Four competed in the varsity/junior varsity boys 5000-meter race.     Local pickleball players requested additional support from the City of Sundance last week. Representing the large group of passionate picklers, Susan Worthington made three requests for the coming summer season. The council did not consider the first two requests to be any problem.
