    It was a beautiful weekend for the Sundance track team as they participated in the 2A Regional Track meet on Friday and Saturday at Croell Field. The top eight finishers in each event and top four in the relays earned their way to the state track meet, which will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week.     The Junior High golfers closed their spring season on Monday as they participated in the Conference Tournament in Douglas.     The Sundance track and field team had a busy schedule last week, participating in three meets. Tuesday, the Bulldogs traveled to Douglas for a makeup meet from last week. It was here that Parker Skeens and Riley Banker both took first place finishes, qualifying them for state.     The Sundance varsity golf team hosted the Sundance Golf Invite on Friday last week, inviting teams from Upton, Moorcroft, Wright and Niobrara County.     The Sundance Bulldogs traveled to Wright to partake in the Panther Twilight Track Meet on Tuesday of last week. This was a smaller meet, with only five teams from the surrounding area participating. The Bulldog athletes took advantage of the smaller size and many were able to place in their events.     The Sundance Bulldog track team took advantage of the nice weather and participated in the Mick Tonkel Fly High Classic in Upton last Friday. The girls’ team dominated the 400 meter run with four Bulldogs placing in the top five.     Track season is underway for the Sundance Bulldogs. The team was able to catch an early meet last week as they participated in the Laura Chord Invitational in Newcastle on Thursday.
