Great showing for Bulldogs in Wright

The Sundance Bulldogs traveled to Wright to partake in the Panther Twilight Track Meet on Tuesday of last week. This was a smaller meet, with only five teams from the surrounding area participating.

The Bulldog athletes took advantage of the smaller size and many were able to place in their events. Four Bulldogs were able to take top honors in their events: Jaylin Mills took first place in discus, Ryder Downey was first in the 800m race, Holden Ayer took the top spot in the 300 hurdles and Keaton Mills took first in the high jump and discus event.

The Bulldog boys dominated the 200m race with five runners placing in the top eight. Parker Skeens was a close second, finishing at 25.27 while teammates Lyman Halverson (25.45) and Jake Schommer (25.65) were right on his tail, taking a 3rd and 4th place finish respectively. Holden Ayer and Kyten Johnson rounded out the top eight in the race, taking a sixth and eighth place finish as well.

The Bulldogs will have a busy schedule this week as they participate in three track meets. On Monday the team will travel to Douglas for the Invitational that was postponed from last week. On Tuesday the athletes will participate in the Northern Hills Invite in Belle Fourche and on Friday the Bulldogs will be back in Wright for the Scott Hardy Memorial Meet.
