    It was a busy week for the Sundance golfers as they competed at Devils Tower, Wright and Lusk. The Sundance girls' golf team placed first at the Wright and Lusk Invitationals. With an overall team score of 277 in Wright, the Sundance Lady Bulldogs broke the school record by three strokes.     The weather cooperated and the golf team found their way onto the greens twice this past week, hosting the Sundance Invite on Friday and traveling to Upton to compete in the Newcastle Invite. Despite being the first meet of the spring season, the Bulldog golfers were top notch. Senior Sheridan Schubarth took top honors for the day shooting an 84 at her last Sundance tournament.     The Sundance track and field team had two more athletes qualify for the state meet this past week as they competed in Belle Fourche and Wright. At the Northern Hills Invite in Belle Fourche, Jake Schommer qualified in the high jump with a jump of 5-10. Schommer placed third in the event. Teammate Keaton Mills also qualified for state in the discus with his throw of 144-01.5, which also earned him a first-place finish in the event.     The Sundance track stars were out last Tuesday night competing under the stadium lights at the Panther Qualifier in Wright. It was another blustery day but the Bulldogs competed well. Zoe Skeens took second in the 100 meter on the girls side with a time of 13.66. Maddie Fleenor and Jaylin Mills placed fourth and fifth respectively in the discus.     The Sundance track team had their first competitions this past weekend, participating in the Mick Tonkel Classic in Upton on Friday and the Center of the Nation track meet in Belle Fourche on Saturday. Despite the blustery weather, the Bulldog team competed well, seeing multiple place in the top of their events.     The Sundance Lady Bulldogs left Sundance with an escort last weekend as they headed to Casper College to participate in the Class 2A State Basketball Tournament.
