Increased vigilance for invasive mussels has already resulted in five thwarted attempts to cross the Wyoming border this summer. Two of the five infested watercraft traveled through the check station in Beulah. Colton Daniel Otto, 24, of Havre, Montana and Pine Haven, Wyoming passed away on June 17, 2023 in Pine Haven. Colton was born in Havre on January 11, 1999 to Jason and Dyann Otto. He lived in Rudyard, Montana before moving with his family to Pine Haven. He went to school at North Star Schools in Gildford/Rudyard and Moorcroft High School in Moorcroft, Wyoming. On Friday, June 23, 2023, Raymond Osloond Sr. "Stretch", 93, passed away at his home with his son by his side. Raymond was born on August 16, 1929 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to parents William and Rena (Rishor) Osloond. He was drafted into the United States Army on November 4, 1950. He left his home near Mona, Wyoming, for base camp in California, boarded the USNS Marine Phoenix, sailed to Japan and then to Korea where he served in the Korean War. Dear Editor, Last July 4, 2022, I had neighbors set off 30-40 roman candles that also went over my land, and the neighbor to the south of them, Jim’s, that had dry, raked and wind rowed hay.
