July 5, 1923

Glen Hartman arrived in Sundance Sunday for a short visit with friends. As former county agent, Mr. Hartman is well known and cordially esteemed throughout Crook County. He is now assistant professor of agronomy at the agricultural college department of Laramie university.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haselton have moved into Sundance and are occupying the Jelbert residence on West street. Mr. Haselton has entered upon his duties as deputy sheriff and janitor for the county building.

July 1, 1948

On July 4, the famous Black Hills Passion Play will resume its summer performances in the large amphitheater at Spearfish. Because of the six-year interruption, this opening performance should be of great interest to everyone, particularly the people of the Black Hills.

The Louis-Walcott fight pictures, round by round and blow by blow will be shown at the Commercial Theater along with the regular feature on Sunday and Monday. Regular admission prices will be charged.

July 2, 1998

The Federal Aviation Administration has appropriated money for the construction of an airport in Hulett. The airport will be located on a hill north of town. Since the airport in Sundance was closed, the county has been without an airport. Hulett residents feel an airport is needed, not only because of the economic benefits, but due to the access to medical facilities.
