A new event is coming to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year, and Sundance is set to participate. Uncle Louie’s Diner will be one of five area stops on the first Mayor’s Black Hills Poker Run, an event that will encourage bikers to tour destinations within the Black Hills. Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) has not yet been able to move forward with applying for a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant that could help to fund a new county hospital – or upgrades to the current building – but hopes to do so within the next couple of weeks. He grew up on a ranch in Sundance, Wyoming alongside his sisters Kay Buresh Queen (Manny) and Betty Buresh Eatherton (Jim) and his brother Duffy Buresh (Tammie). He was our original Wyoming Cowboy. John Lee Feddersen passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023, at Judy's Assisted Living in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. John was born March 8,1942 to Henrietta (Jonkers) and Adolf Feddersen in Pierre, South Dakota. After leaving school at the end of his eighth grade year, he worked on the family farm running tractors and farm equipment which led to him taking up operating heavy equipment. A man currently serving up to ten years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary after pleading guilty to burglary and theft in Weston County has pleaded guilty to similar charges in Crook County and sentenced with up to ten years of incarceration.
