    The trial of Lesley Raber for aggravated homicide by vehicle has been continued until October due to a change in the defendant’s attorney. According to the motion filed with District Court, the request was made because Raber recently retained a new defense attorney based on “a dissatisfaction with prior trial counsel”.   • CCMSD looks to replace Sundance ambulances

    Faced with the question of how to replace two ambulances in Sundance as quickly as possible, the board of trustees for Crook County Medical Service District last week put a long-term idea for the county ambulance service on the backburner. Instead, the board intends to approach the City of Sundance to discuss options to replace the ailing vehicles.     The City of Sundance has officially secured a Business Ready Community grant for $484,000 to develop a new park on the site next to Old Stoney. The State Lands and Investments Board (SLIB) approved full funding for the city’s request on June 20. The funding joins a second grant for a similar amount from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, administered by Wyoming State Parks, which was approved in May.     Delbert "Sonny" Lloyd Harbaugh, Jr., was born May 23, 1932, in Rapid City, South Dakota, in a house that later washed away in the flood of 1972. He lived on Haines Avenue until age 11 when his father landed a job at the Black Hills Ordnance Depot in Igloo, South Dakota. He graduated from Provo High School in 1950. He attended Black Hills Teaching College (now Black Hills State University) where he met the love of his life. During the Korean conflict, he enlisted in the US Army in 1953.     The public comment period has now opened for Strata Energy’s request to change practices at its Lance Projects in-situ uranium mine near Oshoto. The company hopes to switch over to an acidic lixiviant that it believes would vastly improve recovery rates.
