Bulldogs compete at Wright, Douglas

The Sundance track stars were out last Tuesday night competing under the stadium lights at the Panther Qualifier in Wright. It was another blustery day but the Bulldogs competed well.

Zoe Skeens took second in the 100 meter on the girls side with a time of 13.66. Maddie Fleenor and Jaylin Mills placed fourth and fifth respectively in the discus. 

For the Bulldog boys, Jake Schommer ran his way to a first-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles and Angel Villegas finished the mile run in second place with a time of 5:30.

The Bulldog athletes traveled over the weekend to compete in the Douglas Invitational on Saturday. Facing some stiff competition from 14 other schools, the Bulldogs fared well. A few highlights include Jake Schommer taking third place in the high jump, Ryder Downey finishing in seventh in the 400 and Catch Downey placing eighth in the 800M.

For the girls, Zoe Skeens finished fifth in the 800, while Karly Marchant finished seventh in the 400, Jaylin Mills threw a 25-03 in the discus for a sixth-place finish. 

The Sundance track and field team is scheduled for two competitions this week. On Monday they will travel to Belle Fourche and Friday they will compete once again in Wright.
