Golf season starts out strong

The Sundance golf team kicked off their fall season last Thursday in Glenrock. On the boys’ side, freshman Owen Watt started his varsity career finishing in a three-way tie with fellow Bulldog Parker Speidel and Glenrock’s Max Coulter for eighth place, putting up a score of 102. Spencer Lubken was right behind Watt and Speidel with a score of 103, finishing in 11th place.

On the girls’ side, Sheridan Schubarth continued her high school dominance taking a first place finish over her rival from Upton, Brooklyn Materi. Bulldog Savannah Peterson posted a fourth place finish with a score of 96 and teammates Karen Ulmer and Avery Marchant rounded out the Lady Bulldog team, helping them to a second place team finish with a total score of 314. 

The golfers will have a busy week this week, competing four times. On Monday they will compete in Hulett, they will travel to Gillette on Tuesday, compete in Thermopolis on Thursday and Kendrick on Friday.
