SHS Bulldogs open cross country season at Newcastle Invitational

The Sundance High School Cross Country team opened its season Fri., Aug. 27 at the Newcastle Invitational in Newcastle. 

Freshman Angel Villegas finished second in the junior varsity meet. Villegas ran his first 5000-meter race in a time of 21:43.

Senior Andrew Davis finished behind Villegas for third-place in a time of 21:59. Junior Kort McLaughlin placed sixth in a time of 22:27. 

Freshman Kyten Johnson was ninth in a time of 22:59, while freshmen Wyatt Flahaven and Holden Ayer finished 11th and 14th in times of 23:12 and 24:33, respectively.
