Again this year, the annual Lighted Christmas Parade transformed the streets into a winter wonderland Friday evening. As the sun set and darkness descended, a procession of festively decorated floats adorned with thousands of twinkling lights took center stage. Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) has been making strides in fixing the “bottlenecking” issue that was keeping the number of patients served in the Sundance Clinic each day at a lower level than the district would like. Amid great fanfare, the first annual winner of the Crook County Courthouse's festive door decorating contest was announced on Friday. Clerk of District Court Julie Crawford and Deputy Clerk Amy Porter were victorious with their 3-D rendition of the Polar Express, complete with snow-heaped signs throughout the courthouse and ticket stickers on the corridor walls. Patsy Ann Jensen, age 86 was called home to the Lord on November 27, 2023. Patsy was born on November 24, 1937, in Garrison, North Dakota to Fred and Hilda Tschetter. She is survived by her siblings sister Donna Waugh, brother Fred D. Tschetter and sister Peggy (Gary) Jensen. Patsy graduated from Sundance High School as the class Salutatorian on May 18, 1955. Robert "Bob" Lee Plemmons went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2023, in Clemmons, North Carolina. Bob was born in Gillette, Wyoming on March 20, 1956, to Harold and Mary (Sohl) Plemmons. He graduated from Moorcroft High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Humboldt State University. Bob had a generous and caring heart full of joy and good humor. Billie Jo was born in Casper, Wyoming, on July 10, 1970. Billie Jo succumbed to pancreatic cancer. She fought a great fight. She moved to Rapid City to finish her life with her pride and joy, her son, Cody Bauman. She often stated she found her happy place. The Board of Trustees has approved a new investment policy that will allow Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) to invest excess money as a way of increasing its liquidity.
