Robert "Bob" Lee Plemmons

Robert "Bob" Lee Plemmons went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2023, in Clemmons, North Carolina.

Bob was born in Gillette, Wyoming on March 20, 1956, to Harold and Mary (Sohl) Plemmons. He graduated from Moorcroft High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Humboldt State University.

Bob had a generous and caring heart full of joy and good humor. He loved entertaining people and bringing joy into the lives of others. This passion led him to becoming an Activity Coordinator in retirement homes, a career he loved for over 35 years, most recently at Brookridge Retirement Community. After retirement, Bob worked sporadically at Bus Safety Solutions, taking pride in keeping buses safe and finding new ways to improve safety.

He was a lifelong Presbyterian, starting at the age of 16. Bob was a member of Clemmons Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, kayaking, and being active outside. Bob loved making sweet potato jewelry and selling it at markets. He also looked forward to playing pickleball daily with his friends, "The Penguins." Bob also loved traveling the world with his girlfriend, Dot.

Bob was truly a unique individual. The "certified laughter leader" will be missed by all who knew him, and his infectious laugh will never be replaced.

Bob leaves behind his children, Bryan Plemmons and Abigail (Karli) Codding; granddaughter, Anari Codding; brother, John (Ellen) of Wheatland, Wyoming; sister, Mary (Jim) Webber of Rawlins, Wyoming; half-brother, Dale (Iva) Howard of Gillette; step-sister, Verna (Jon) Mahle of Gillette; step-brother, Darryl Stoebner of Gillette; Jennifer's family, in-laws, Patricia Fields and James Carling; girlfriend, Dot Burns; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer Plemmons. Bob was also predeceased by father, Harold Eugene "Gene" Plemmons; mother, Mary Louise Howard; step-mother, Delores Plemmons; older brother, Donald Plemmons; half-sister, Betty Howard; and grandparents, Francis (Eleanor) Plemmons, Beulah (Jack) Hamm, Henry Sohl and Lettie Sohl.
