    The Sundance Bulldogs varsity boys' cross country team won the Irrigator Invitational in Newell, SD. on Fri., Sept. 15. The Bulldogs crossed the finish line with three top-ten finishes in the competition, including a first-place finish. Senior Deklan Gill won the varsity 5000-meter run in his season-best time of 18:54.38.     There was a rededication ceremony at Sundance High School as the Sundance volleyball team held the first home games in the newly refurbished gymnasium.     The Upton-Sundance Patriots were on the road once again this last week as they faced off against the Tongue River Eagles. The Eagles found their way to the end zone in the first quarter of play and continued to make their way back throughout the game.     It was an exciting weekend for the Bulldog golfers as Savanah Peterson won the 2A State Golf Championship with a first hole playoff against Upton's Ciarra Moore. Peterson and Moore were tied after two rounds of play, with a score of 194, at the state championship, this tie sent them to a playoff where Peterson earned the championship.
