The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will once again be holding public open houses around the county this month to discuss the proposed hunting seasons for 2022. Meetings are scheduled in both Sundance and Hulett and comments will be accepted until April 1. Fundraising isn’t always for the faint-hearted. Each winter brings the opportunity for the bravest among us to leap into the icy waters of Keyhole Reservoir and raise money for Special Olympics Wyoming. Save the date for this year’s icy leap: the Jackalope Jump will be taking place at the marina at Keyhole State Park on March 26, with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and the jump beginning an hour later. Danny Lew Viergets, 72, of Alzada, Montana, passed away in his home March 4, 2022. He was born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, on March 4, 1950, to Lew and Velma Viergets of Alzada. Danny graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1968. After graduation he attended Miles City, Montana College.
