Frozen fairytales

The most eye-catching sight during this year's Freeze Your Fanny race was surely Snow White and her dwarves making their way along the four-mile course. "It sure was a beautiful day and everyone seemed to have a great time. We had 112 participants between the walk and the run, plus a few who came by for breakfast and to cheer folks on," says organizer Ann Marie Mickle. "We really appreciate all the door prize donations, CCMSD's donation of an ambulance standby and the sheriff's department for the traffic control at Cleveland and Hwy 585." The fastest runner this year was 15-year-old Casey Nauta with a time of 23:30, followed by Josh Speidel at 24:11 and Ryan Tallmadge at 30:10. Nauta was the fastest overall male and Amanda Gaskin was overall female with a time of 31.43.
