FFA horse evaluation team takes on the NILE
On Oct. 16 and 17, the Sundance/Bearlodge FFA horse evaluation team traveled to Billings, Montana to partake in the NILE livestock show FFA/4 H judging contests. Autumn Groth placed fourth in the senior division in horse and Tessa Sanderson was high individual in the junior division. The team placed eighth overall and beat the other Wyoming teams that participated. The team also placed respectively in the Livestock contest.
Sundance FFA goes to national convention
The 95th National FFA Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana on Oct. 25-29 and the Sundance/Bearlodge FFA chapter officers and a few other members went to see the sights. From going a few minutes away to The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (aka The Brickyard) to driving to Kentucky to see Churchill Downs and learn about horse racing.
We attended the sessions during the week and got to see the winners of national competitions. We ended the week with spending six hours in the Indianapolis airport, which included sketches, playing poker with saltwater taffy, talking to random people about FFA and dancing throughout the airport.
