50 Years Ago, Oct. 21, 1971 - One of the two portable classrooms which will house the Sundance fifth and sixth grades is shown above waiting to be installed on its foundation. Last week's poor weather hampered Barton Masonry in its efforts to get the foundations built for the two classrooms. The classrooms will be located on the vacant lot north of the present elementary building which will be vacated next week.

100 Years Ago

Oct. 27, 1921

Sundance Post No. 45, American Legion, is making plans for the observance of Armistice Day, Friday Nov. 11.There will be a novelty dance in the evening, preceded by a picture show of unusual merit. Supper for the dance will be served by the Ladies' Auxiliary at 50¢ per plate. When we stop to think what this day means to 2,000,000 of the flower of America's manhood, it is indeed time to celebrate the cessation of war's slaughter of human life. The day has been declared a legal holiday in many states, and is expected to observe it as such in Sundance this year.
