Two wins for Lady Bulldogs

The Sundance volleyball team opened their conference play with victories this past week as they faced the Moorcroft Wolves and Wright Panthers.

“The standout for the weekend was teamwork,” Coach Blasczyk commented, “We struggled to mesh as a team last weekend so our growth this week was in working together and it paid off. It took everyone’s full commitment to remain positive and focused during Moorcroft. I’m also super proud to come back and redeem ourselves against Wright.”

The Lady Wolves tested the Lady Bulldogs commitment on Friday as they pushed the Bulldogs into five games. With games one and two split, the Bulldogs pulled together for a solid 25-14 victory in game three, but were unable to keep the momentum into game four.

With game five going only to 15 points, the Lady Bulldogs rallied to a 15-8 victory over intraconference rival Moorcroft. 

Ty Holloman led the Bulldog offense for the night with 17 kills and 2 blocks for the night. 

The Lady Bulldogs travelled to Wright on Saturday hoping for a better outcome against the Panthers then what they saw a week earlier. After three games of all around teamwork, the Bulldogs were able to close the weekend victorious.

Briska Johnson led the Bulldog defense for the night with 16 digs, followed by teammates Zoe Skeens with 11 and Ella Bifulco with 9.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Hulett on Thursday to face the Red Devils and host the Tongue River Eagles on Saturday.
