National Honor Society inducts ten members

The National Honor Society induction ceremony was held on Nov. 20 in the Sundance High School Auditorium. There are four pillars of National Honor Society: Scholarship, Service, Character and Leadership. Students must complete an application, write an essay and have a letter of recommendation to be considered.

"Just applying for National Honor Society prompts students to look at various aspects of their lives and write down their past accomplishments, which is great preparation for college scholarships, job applications, and resumes," said NHS advisor, Mary Jayne Jordan. "Ultimately, it might help students set goals to expand their strengths and grow their weaknesses."

Current members Tanner Hofland and Will Inghram were delighted to have a large number join their meager ranks. "With two miles of highway to clean in the spring, the increased numbers will really help," said Will Inghram.
