    The Wyoming Department of Transportation district four Wyoming Transportation Department Employees Association (WTDEA) recently awarded scholarships to two outstanding students including one from Crook County. Parker Speidel is the son of Rusty and Amanda Speidel. Parker recently graduated from Sundance High School and plans on attending Northwest College in Powell to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot.     Crook County first graders from Hulett, Moorcroft and Sundance made their annual trek to Devils Tower National Monument for the 18th annual Wyoming Reads celebration in Crook County. It was a gorgeous day to enjoy the natural history of Devils Tower with a hike around it. After their hike, students met at the picnic area, ate lunch and were then entertained in the amphitheater.     Black Hills State University released the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester. A total of 630 students maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours.
