    Due to the recent snow storm and slippery conditions, the Forest Moon Walk scheduled for May 25 has been re-scheduled to June 1. Join the Black Hills National Forest on Saturday, June 1 at 7 p.m. for a moonlit hike and to learn about the history of Smokey Bear and the celebration of his 75th birthday.     As Wyoming’s warmer days approach, avoiding ticks when spending time outdoors can also mean escaping some potentially serious diseases, according to the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH). Diseases sometimes passed on by infected ticks in Wyoming include tularemia, Rocky Mountain spotted fever (RMSF) and Colorado tick fever (CTF).     Fourteen Wyoming students from across the state were recognized for their artwork in Cheyenne on May 17 by Governor Gordon. The celebration acknowledged their achievement in art and excellence in interpreting agriculture and natural resource concepts.     The Vore Buffalo Jump Foundation Board will host an open house on June 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vore Site located on Old Hwy 14 just west of Beulah, Wyoming.     A new National Park Service report shows that 468,215 visitors to Devils Tower National Monument in 2018 spent $30 million in communities near the park.
