    Bulldogs at Newell and PRC Tourney The #3 ranked Sundance boys’ basketball team hit the road this past week for a game against Newell on Thursday and participated in the Powder River Conference Invite Friday and Saturday in Tongue River and Kaycee. Their weekend kicked off in Newell on Thursday where they ran away with the game in a 71-34 victory. On Friday, the Bulldogs competed in the Powder River Conference Invite where they lost the first game to Kaycee 48-59.   • Local beef program expands to schools county-wide

    A small rural school of 160 students, K through 12, in Hulett was the recipient of a new program thanks to the local Crook County Cattlewomen. The program has now been expanded to include the Moorcroft and Sundance schools. Instead of the highly processed soy-based meat traditionally served for the lunch programs, students and staff at all schools now enjoy locally grown pure beef.   • FCCLA collecting for Birthday Party Packs

    Sundance FCCLA is collecting materials for Birthday Party Packs. These will be donated to the food bank for family use. Each party pack will contain a cake mix, frosting, foil pan, candles and decorative plates.     Wyoming State Forestry Division and Wyoming Project Learning Tree (WY PLT) are teaming up again this year to hold the annual Wyoming State Arbor Day poster contest. This year Wyoming will celebrate its 132nd Arbor Day. The contest is open to all Wyoming fourth and fifth grade students, including home-schooled, private and public. Students are invited to create a poster no larger than 14 by 18 inches in size that depicts the theme “I Spy Trees.” The winner will receive $100, their poster framed and a plaque.
