CHAPTER 6, SECTION 2 CONSRUCTION/MODIFICATION PERMIT - Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality PUBLIC NOTICE: In accordance with Chapter 6, Section 2(m) of the Wyoming Air Quality Standards and Regulations, notice is hereby given that the State of Wyoming, Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality, proposes to approve a request by Bentonite Performance Minerals, LLC to construct the Ridinger Mine, a bentonite mine encompassing 311 acres with 152 acres of planned disturbance and 15 acres contemporaneously disturbed. The facility will include bentonite stockpiling, exposed acreage, and haul activity. The Ridinger Mine is located in Sections 27, 28, 33, and 34, T58N, R63W, approximately twenty-three (23) miles north-northeast of Hulett, in Crook County, Wyoming. The applicant estimates an annual production rate of 100,000 tons. No crushing, screening, blasting, concrete batch plants or hot mix asphalt plants are planned for this site.

For the duration of the public comment period, the permit application, the agency’s analysis, and the public notice are available for public inspection online at https://openair.wyo.gov, utilizing facility ID F031513 and permit number P0037729 under permits. This material may also be viewed online, at the above URL, utilizing a public computer at the Crook County Library, Sundance, Wyoming. Additionally, for the duration of the public comment period a copy of this public notice is available for public inspection at the Crook County Clerk’s Office, Sundance, Wyoming.

A public hearing will be conducted only if in the opinion of the administrator sufficient interest is generated or if an aggrieved party so requests.
