Sundance native joins Hy-Vee Hall of Fame

Jason Farver chosen as Hy-Vee’s Executive Vice President of the Year

Sundance native Jason Farver has been named to the Hy-Vee Hall of Fame. Farver, Hy-Vee’s executive vice president and chief supply chain officer and president of RedMedia, was named Hy-Vee’s Executive Vice President of the Year at the company’s annual stockholders meeting in December.

Colleagues nominating Farver had the following things to say: “Jason has held many roles relative to the length of his tenure with Hy-Vee. Despite this, he has consistently adapted and learned the details of his teams and responsibilities. It’s his ability to listen, apply the input he receives, and then formulate clear and concise direction that allows his teams to function efficiently. He is also willing to trust his teams to perform, knowing they have the expertise to operate under his overall direction.”

Farver joined Hy-Vee in 2021 as senior vice president of Hy-Vee and president of Perishable Distributors of Iowa (PDI), a Hy-Vee subsidiary. In 2022, Farver was promoted to executive vice president and chief technology officer, where he led the teams at Helpful Smiles Technology (HST) and then later took on the role of president of RedMedia.

In 2023, Farver was named executive vice president and chief supply chain officer and later also took on the role of president of RedMedia. Farver is a manufacturing expert with more than 20 years of experience.

Farver graduated from Sundance High School. He furthered his education with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Iowa State University and also graduated from Harvard Business School’s general management program in 2010.

Farver serves as president of United Christians International, a nonprofit that helps underprivileged families in Haiti. He is married to Whitney and they have four children: Brayden, Taylor, Brody and Tori.
