Two-dollar bill promotion winner announced

For the last few weeks, the Sundance Economic Development Task Force and the Sundance Chamber of Commerce have been running a promotion to encourage local citizens to "Shop Small".

A number of $2 bills were distributed through the community – a rare currency that stands out in a stack of bills.

The idea was that shoppers would notice when they were handed a $2 bill and would also notice when and where they spent it. Citizens were encouraged to spend them at local businesses in and around Sundance, and watch as they continued to circulate from individual to business and back again.

The $2 bill promotion was part of the drive to bring awareness to the importance of "shopping small", especially during the holiday season.

Anyone who received a $2 bill or spent one was also encouraged to post on social media with the hashtag #Sundance2Bucks.

This earned an entry into a special drawing and, of those who posted a photo, Amanda Branby was the winner of the grand prize.
