December 27, 1923

One of the largest and most successful social events that ever took place at Farrall was the dance and entertainment given by the three schools December 22. The music furnished by Wren Gardner, Earl McClellen and Ed Finch made the dance the best ever held at Farrall.

It was not quite a green Christmas in Sundance this year, although for weeks past the indications were that way. A light skiff of snow and freezing temperature were quite seasonable Tuesday, while the heavy storm yesterday brought conditions to normal.

December 30, 1948

Since Gov. Lester C. Hunt will resign January 3 according to reliable reports, Dr. A. G. Crane, secretary of state, will assume the office of governor. Under the Wyoming law, Dr. Crane, as secretary of state, immediately takes on the additional duties of acting governor whenever the governor leaves the state and his oath as secretary apparently covers the subsequent responsibility.

Julius Hewes reports that the Summit Construction Company began graveling a five and one tenth mile stretch of county road that runs to his ranch and includes those of Al Schelldorf and Herbert Finch. Merle Hayden has charge of the work.
