50 Years Ago, December 27, 1973 - Noel Edwards, Sundance, shown at right, saw his name come out of the hat as the winner of the Sundance Rod and Gun Club's annual rifle raffle. Sheriff John Peterson drew the winning ticket at a drawing held Dec. 18. Don Denzin, president of the club, presented the rifle to Edwards. Edwards won a Remington 7 mm. Magnum Custom Deluxe with a 4-power wide-angle Weaver 'scope

100 Years Ago

December 27, 1923

One of the largest and most successful social events that ever took place at Farrall was the dance and entertainment given by the three schools December 22. The music furnished by Wren Gardner, Earl McClellen and Ed Finch made the dance the best ever held at Farrall.

It was not quite a green Christmas in Sundance this year, although for weeks past the indications were that way. A light skiff of snow and freezing temperature were quite seasonable Tuesday, while the heavy storm yesterday brought conditions to normal.
