Farm Bureau Federation holds annual meeting

On September 21 the Crook County Farm Bureau Federation held their annual members meeting with 32 people in attendance at the 77 Steakhouse in Hulett. 

Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President, Ken Hamilton and Media and Member Relations Director, Kerin Clark, spoke about upcoming state and national meetings and events, federal issues affecting Wyoming agriculture and legislative issues. Troy Stone, District Manager for Mountain West Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance gave a report.

Some of the community outreach activities the Federation sponsored were an estate planning workshop, county FFA creed and speech contests, local scholarships, Ag Books for Kids and a goat roping event. They also donated to livestock camps and shows, youth rodeos and the county fair, as well as provided comments on the Black Hills National Forest plan revisions. 

Business brought before the body including voting to update the bylaws and passing resolutions that will advance to the district meeting for consideration. The 2024 officers were elected: Vance Steedley, President, JW Moore, Vice President, Zeta Nuckolls Anderson, Secretary, Keith Haiar, Treasurer and Raenell Taylor, YF&R and Membership Chair.

Certificates for the 2023 Century Club Members and Life Members were given out.

The next meeting for the Crook County Farm Bureau Federation will be October 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sundance Farm Bureau office. We encourage those engaged in agriculture to attend.
