Ruth Boucher

Memorial Services for Ruth Boucher will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 25 at the Upton Community Center.

Ruth Ann Giffin Boucher was born April 23, 1947 in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Ruth spent the first few years of life in the oil patch and she loved it!

She also lived in Edgerton, Wyoming, where her dad pastored his first church. At the age of four she moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota and attended school there.

She married William Nairn and to this union three children were born: William Scott Nairn (Diane Wolstein), Elizabeth Fay Nairn (Troy Mettler) and Wesley Nairn.

She raised her kids in Sundance, Wyoming. In 1982, she met Bill Boucher and started off on a new adventure!

Ruthie learned to drive an 18 wheeler. She and Bill drove together until her grand babies were born then they moved back to her beloved Wyoming. You just couldn't take Wyoming out of her heart!

Grandma was a jack of all trades and she worked many jobs including business owner, motel manager, cook, activities director, waitress and pharmacy manager to name a few.

She loved music and taught herself how to play piano. The first song she learned to play was, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater. The love of her life after her husband was her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Bill Boucher; her children, William Scott Nairn (Diane Wolstein) and Elizabeth Fay Nairn (Troy Mettler); stepson, Jeremy Boucher; her brothers, Paul Giffin (Chris) and Phil Giffin (Eurice); grandchildren, Chris, Seth, Dexter, Sammy, Tristan and William and eight great grandchildren; her special friend of 58 years whom she spoke to daily for 20 plus years, Peggy Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley; father and mother, Harry and Dorthy Giffin and grandson, Dustin Mettler.

Ruth's greatest desire would be that all her family and friends would come to know Jesus as their Savior.
