Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884

Movies are back at the park

Movies in the Park are back again for the second time this year, with family-friendly fun planned each Thursday starting at 7:30 p.m., courtesy of the Sundance Chamber of Commerce.

Each movie is sponsored by a local business, with the line-up beginning on June 22 and set to include The Incredibles, The Lion King, The Mighty Ducks, Frozen, Moana, Ghostbusters and Zootopia.

August 10 is a make-up date in case any of the movies before that time are cancelled due to weather. Check the chamber’s website at sundancewyoming.com/events for news of cancellations.

Concessions will be provided at each performance from organizations including the FCCLA and FCA.

August 3 will be a special night as the showing will be hosted as a fundraiser for the Crook County Sheriff’s Office Association and will be in conjunction with Public Safety Night – a chance to explore the Sheriff’s Office and Search & Rescue with a free will dinner.

August 17 will also be a departure from the norm. While most performances are family friendly, this showing of Top Gun: Maverick is for the grown-ups, with a children’s program available at the Crook County Library during the movie.

All showings will take place at Sundance Square Park on 4th and Cleveland.
