307 Clinic celebrates tenth year

For the tenth year, kids from across the county and beyond gathered at the fairgrounds last week to partake in the popular 307 Northeast Livestock Show Clinic.

Hosted by the Crook County Extension Office, the goal of the clinic is to give kids learning opportunities to prepare livestock for showing. The kids had the chance to learn about everything from fitting, feeding and daily care to vet care and showing on species including beef, goats, sheep and swine.

As well as listening to expert presentations, kids had the opportunity to work with clinicians on each species, culminating in mock showmanship contests.

The week finished out on Saturday with a horsemanship show clinic.
