Enjoy a day of lakeside recreation at Keyhole Reservoir next weekend as part of the statewide celebration of Free Fishing Day.
Wyoming Game & Fish designates the first Saturday of National Boating and Fishing Week each year as a day on which anyone can fish for free in Wyoming, without the need for a fishing license.
The only exceptions to this offer are the Wind River Reservation and Yellowstone National Park.
Numerous events have been planned across the state to help you make the most of the opportunity. For local anglers, Wyoming State Parks, assisted by Game & Fish employees, will be hosting a morning of fishing at Pat’s Point at Keyhole Reservoir from 9 to 11 a.m. on June 3.
If you do not have your own rods and reels, a limited number will be available to borrow.
Please note that all fishing regulations, gear restrictions, creel and size limits and stream closures will remain in effect on Free Fishing Day. Check the 2023 Fishing Regulations online at the Game & Fish website before you head out.
