Glenn Groves

Glenn Groves, 91, of Hulett, Wyoming, passed away on March 7, 2023 at Legacy Living Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Glenn was born on August 8, 1931 in the Gillette Hospital to Howard and Cecilia (Schlautmann) Groves.

He attended and graduated from Campbell County High School. He married Frances Shaw on December 13, 1952.

He changed from a ranch hand to cutting hair then a car salesman, freight manager at Wolff Auto Parts. All the time still a rancher and built two houses, one in Campbell County and one in Crook County.

Glenn loved to go to auctions, did not know a stranger and was a great story teller. Cutting off fingers limited guitar and piano playing, which he played by ear.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Frances Groves of Hulett; daughters, Deborah (Darrell) Odegaard of Egeland, North Dakota and Dorothy (Duane) Southworth of Gillette; sister, Marlene Newton; grandchildren, Melissa Parnell, Craig Fisher and Lee Parnell, Jason (Karen) Odegaard, Eric Odegaard, Terry (Hillari) Southworth and Dusty (Tara) Southworth; eleven great-grandchildren, Joseph and AJ Parnell, Megan and John Fisher, Evan, Kalena and Aiden Odegaard, Rylee and Remi Southworth, Haywood and Hudson Southworth; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, Urban and John; one sister, JoAnn Wolff; one daughter, Deena (Ross) Parnell.

A service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to benefit Hulett Ambulance Service.
