Powder River Energy Foundation, Basin Electric give $5000 to Sundance Senior Center

Filling a need for functional plumbing and a dishwasher in the Sundance Senior Center kitchen, the Powder River Energy Foundation recently teamed up with Basin Electric to donate a total of $5000 to the center in Sundance.

"The Foundation's mission is to demonstrate our commitment to the senior citizens organization in Sundance by helping improve their quality of service to their community," said Foundation Board President John Flocchini.

"Because the community utilizes this fully functioning meeting place, this grant will go a long way toward completion of needed repairs to this facility."

Sundance Senior Center Board Treasurer Roger Jones stated, "The commercial dishwasher is in need of replacement or repairs. This is in the kitchen used for preparing weekday lunches for Sundance Seniors and week-end home-delivered meals for all eligible Crook County seniors."

The Senior Center is also a meeting place for Alcoholics Anonymous, American Legion, monthly veterans' breakfasts and other public and private events.
