Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884

Ringing the changes

As the year came to an end, so too did a combined half century of service from two of the county's most familiar elected officials. Clerk of District Court Tina Wood (below) enjoyed a retirement party on Wednesday, during which she was presented with a plaque commemorating 32 years of serving Crook County's citizens. The next day, friends and supporters of County Assessor Theresa Curren (right) gathered in her office to celebrate the 19 years she has dedicated to the county. A few days later, on January 3, the county's fresh crop of elected officials convened in the courtroom to be sworn in by Judge Lynda R. Bush. Above, from left to right, Commissioner Bob Latham, County Clerk Melissa Jones, County Treasurer Tammy Jundt, Clerk of District Court Julie Altaffer, Commissioner Fred Devish, Sheriff Jeff Hodge, County Attorney Joe Baron and County Assessor Dan Thomas.
