Students perform with honor band and choir

Northeast District Junior High Honor Band performers Logan Jonas, Luke Cain, Josh Crews, Maria Villegas, Audrey Wheeler, Taylor Dailey, Maddison Neiman and Averie Moeller.
Four students performed with the Northeast District Junior High Honor Choir on Friday, and eight with the Northeast District Junior High Honor Band, at a concert in Big Horn.
The students were among a select group chosen for the performance from Big Horn, Sheridan, Upton, Newcastle, Moorcroft and both Gillette junior high schools.
The students practiced all day, says music teacher Teresa Preisner, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The day ended with a combined concert for the band and choir at 3 p.m.
"These kids represented the school and the town of Sundance remarkably well!" Preisner says.
