Sundance Times - Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884

A few years back, land surveyor Charles M. “Mike” Madler ran across an old trail marked on an 1883 Government Land Office Survey Plat that sparked an interest in him. He spent years trying to re-establish the route using 19th century records with the technology available now in the 21st century. He compiled all his findings into a book and museum exhibit.

He will present his findings with stories of interesting people, places and other tidbits of knowledge he found along the way.
