Attorney A. T. Hansen of Osage had a narrow escape from death recently from the effects of a tick bite. The bite of these strange pests seems to be particularly venomous this spring, as several cases of poisoning and fever have been reported. Only last week the editor hereof was bitten and – the wood tick died.

The city election Tuesday resulted in a poll of thirty-six votes, most of which were cast for Edwin Rounds for mayor, H.G. Schloredt and F.G. Davis councilmen, who had no competition.
