Mar. 23, 1922

At the regular meeting of the Commercial club Tuesday evening, Chairman Isley of the schools committee presented plans for a modern high school building, with outlined suggestions for various changes in the arrangement of rooms. After discussion it was voted that the documents be referred to the board of the high school district. From these plans and estimates it appears that a suitable modern building can be erected for about $40,000.

A girl of regulation weight was born to Mr. and Mrs. R. H. McHenry Wednesday of last week.

Wyoming papers are generally agreed that spring is about here. The Belle Fourche river has broken its icy fetters, and in Sheridan last week were observed a beetle, a butterfly and a robin.

Mar. 20, 1947

Charles Oudin completed a deal Tuesday of this week with Dave Fraser for the purchase by the latter of 15 lots in the east part of Sundance and east of the Newcastle highway bridge. Oudin said that Fraser plans to move the Inyan Kara church building, which he recently purchased, on to the lots.

Weston County board of county commissioners voted at their last regular meeting to sign a waiver routing the Upton-Sundance road from 585 to U.S. Hy. 14. The original contract called for joining of this new road with the Newcastle-Sundance highway south of Sundance, but following the signing of waiver will now come out somewhere west of the Refinery near Sundance.

Sundance theatergoers were treated to a very professional performance on opening night Friday at the Sundance High School Auditorium. The performance of "The Fiddler on the Roof" was well done. The 65 members of the cast and the 35 members of the backstage and technical crews deserve a big hand for their work. Tevye, played by Todd Kahler, and Golde, his wife, played by Connie Hubbard, do an excellent job as the parents of five daughters in a Jewish family in the small Russian town of Anatevka in 1905.
