50 Years Ago - Mar. 23, 1972: The 3-C's, a store featuring cards, gifts and varieties, will open about the middle of April in the former Thorne Drug building located at Third and Main Streets in Sundance. Kathryn Hoyer will manage the new store. The building was purchased by Champion Construction Co., owned by Dennis Hart and Larry McLaughlin.

At the regular meeting of the Commercial club Tuesday evening, Chairman Isley of the schools committee presented plans for a modern high school building, with outlined suggestions for various changes in the arrangement of rooms. After discussion it was voted that the documents be referred to the board of the high school district. From these plans and estimates it appears that a suitable modern building can be erected for about $40,000.
