Without participation from its members, the American Legion post that serves Sundance and the surrounding area may be forced to disband. Members are asked to attend a meeting next week to decide the post’s future.
At this time, Post #45 does not have enough actively participating members to conduct its business.
This business, which is conducted at regular meetings, includes such necessary tasks as electing officers and planning events.
American Legion posts typically work to provide a support network for local veterans, sponsor youth Boys State programs and other meaningful state activities for youth.
Post #45 has scheduled a meeting for Monday, December 6 at 7 p.m. at Sundance Senior Citizens Center and all members are urged to attend. The purpose of the meeting will be to decide whether to continue the post, or to disband it.
