To honor the 13 servicemen and women who were lost during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, including Rylee McCollum of Wyoming, the Pine Haven Days parade this year included a special element. Thirteen Corvettes were escorted by Sergeant First Class Pangus, Sergeant Abelseth and Staff Sergeant Boyd of the Wyoming National Guard, each one bearing the name of one of the lost soldiers. Councilwoman Karla Brandenberg has delivered the signs to three of the 13 families already and plans to continue with her efforts in order to let the families know how much their sacrifice means.
