CCMSD appoints trustee

A new board member to represent the Hulett area has formally been appointed to the Crook County Medical Services District Board of Trustees.

Robert Richey will serve in the position of Hulett area trustee until the next general election in November, 2022, when the position will be up for the public vote.

The appointment is necessary to replace outgoing board member Connie Lindmier, who recently tendered her resignation.

At Friday’s meeting, Trustee Sandy Neiman stated that she and Trustee Trish Habeck had interviewed an applicant the week before and were impressed with his experience and willingness to serve on the board.

“The fact he’s really interested and the fact he showed up today I think speaks well,” she said, referring to the candidate’s presence in the audience.“I would like to propose Bob as the Hulett trustee.”

Originally from Texas, Richey now lives in Hulett. On confirming that his place of residence falls inside the bounds of the district’s Hulett area, the board voted unanimously to appoint him to the position.
