Dressed in five rings, two necklaces, miscellaneous other jewelry and a splash of color that could be heard to the Devils Tower, a mother gypsy pleaded with Marshall Bob Russell at Gillette shortly after dinner today to release her two daughters who were languishing in the city jail until they cooled down sufficiently to talk coherently with proper respect to the officers of the law.

The value of the coal deposits east of Gillette have been proved beyond doubt, according to tests completed this week on Donkey Creek. At a depth of 30 feet, the second test well sunk by the Homestake Mining Company, produced coal to a depth of thirty feet showing the bed of coal to lie right on the ground. The new hole lies on the south side of the road, three miles east of Gillette. So satisfied are the engineers for the Homestake Company with the result of the test that no further holes will be sunk according to Geologist J. O. Hosted.

That Sundance may have a sewage disposal system is a good possibility if residents desire and are willing to cooperate to the fullest extent to get it was revealed by Mayor Jay Durfee speaking at the regular meeting of the Sundance. Durfee said that the town council had secured the services of W.E. Thompson, civil engineer of Belle Fourche in drafting plans and estimated costs of a sewage disposal system for the town that would included all of the town on the north side of the creek and eight blocks on the south side.

A team owned by Mr. Reed of Sundance, and with which he was hauling rock, became frightened Saturday of last week when a young boy tossed a bottle on to the loaded wagon, scaring the animals so badly they bolted with the load of rock and tore loose from the wagon. The wagon, uncontrolled, went crashing into a telephone pole adjacent to the Mary Anderson home, breaking it in two and necessitating replacement.
