Michael William Duvall

Michael William Duvall was born on February 6 right in the middle of the great blizzard of 1949 in Torrington, Wyoming, to Dillard and Freda (Richardson) Duvall. Mike was their first son. He grew up and attended school in Sundance, Wyoming.

After a short time in Lingle and then Riverton, Wyoming, he moved to Jackson, Wyoming, where he remained until he passed away on July 11, 2021. For over 30 years Mike was a client of Community Entry Service and loved the independent life style that CES helped him to enjoy. He worked at the Super 8 for many years until he retired at age 70 and loved riding his bike to work, weather permitting. He enjoyed attending the Mountain View Independent Baptist Church and had some great friends there.

Mike loved his family, his guitar lessons, listening to music (especially Led Zeppelin and also The Rolling Stones) and reading (especially Stephen King).

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Freda Duvall; his grandparents, William and Mary Ann Richardson and Harlan and May Duvall; and a niece and a nephew. He is survived by four brothers, Patrick and Danny of Gillette, Wyoming, Paul (Carol) and Dillard of Spearfish, South Dakota; and five sisters, Mary Spangler, Peggy Madeen and Becky Glick of Gillette, Kathy Duvall of Denver and Jackie (Dave) Messier of Ft Jones, California; in addition to many nieces and nephews.

His family is grateful for the wonderful staff at CES (to name a few, Heather, Ron and Carolyn) and his friends at CES, his guitar teacher, Jed Grossman and his friends at Mountain View Baptist Church for loving and supporting Mike. Memorial gifts could be directed to your local animal shelter, since Mike always loved dogs.

Mike was a wonderful, loving brother, and his passing leaves a big empty space in so many hearts.
