Poppy poster state winners

Annika Haugen and John Wacker, art students of Tobi Miller at Sundance Junior High, received state awards recently in the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Poppy Poster Contest. Annika placed first, John placed third and both received cash awards. Annika’s poster went on for National competition (see the photo of her poster).

The local poppy poster contest was sponsored by the Roy Montgomery Unit 80 ALA in Hulett. Members Tracy Bush, Hulett, and Janet Lake, Sundance, are on the poppy poster committee.
