Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
The Wyoming Historical Society’s annual trek to areas of interest around the state will this year be hosted by the Crook County chapter.
On the weekend of June 4, visitors will be introduced to the history of this area through visits to historical sites across the county.
The trek will focus on the agricultural, industrial, military and Native American history of this area and will take in Sundance, Devils Tower, Hulett, Aladdin and Moorcroft. Visitors will also be treated to an exclusive tour of Old Stoney.
Participants will tour the county via bus to take in these and other sites of interest throughout the weekend.
Leslie Waggener, president of the Society, said “Enjoying a trek to all corners of Wyoming is an excellent way to learn about the state’s history, and the best part is that someone else does all the planning.”
