Gunshots unlikely to lead to charges

Residents of Sundance reported hearing a series of gunshots on the evening of Sunday, November 1, with no clear origin or reason. According to Police Chief Marty Noonan, the issue is still being investigated.

The incident took place in the area of 5th Street and Thompson at around 8:30 p.m., Noonan says.

“We received a report of possible gunshots,” he reports. “No reports of people or property hit.”

The chief does not believe charges will be pending following the incident. At this time, there is not believed to be a danger to the public.
