COVID-19 Daily Update - July 28

According to Tuesday's update from the Department of Health, Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 64 and now stand at 2136.

Probable cases have increased by 5 to 453. There are currently 15 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Wyoming.

Crook County has had a total of 9 confirmed cases. All have recovered.

26 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming, an increase of 1 from yesterday.

Today, Teton County reports 18 new cases of coronavirus; Uinta County has an additional 9 cases; Laramie County has 7 more; Natrona, Park and Sweetwater counties have 6 new cases; Fremont and Campbell County each have 3 new cases; Lincoln County has 2 new cases; Albany, Carbon, Goshen, and Sheridan counties each report 1 more coronavirus case.

There was a death reported today in Uinta County, bringing the total number of coronavirus-related deaths statewide to 26.

The total number of active coronavirus cases statewide is now 595, up from 582.

Statewide, the department's current figures show that 1615 confirmed cases and 355 probable cases have recovered.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, "Total ICU Bed Availability" has been downgraded from improved to stable (green to amber level). All other metrics are also at this level, except new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, which are both marked as "concerning" (red level).
