Community supports FCCLA with service project

As one of its chapter service projects, Sundance High School FCCLA has purchased 47 pillows and made 47 pillowcases for residents of St. Joseph's Children's Home in Torrington. The group ran concession stands to raise money to purchase the pillows.

Way back in October, the Times ran an article asking for fabric donations for the endeavor. They would like to thank the community for its generous support. The organization received seven boxes and three bags of fabric.

One leader with the project, Baillee Heaster, will travel to Torrington with her family to deliver the pillows.

"It was a much bigger project than I imagined when we started. We were lucky to have so much help", stated Heaster. Besides FCCLA members, pillowcases were sewn with help from FACS classes and volunteer students who came in on a purple enrichment Friday.
