It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edwin Sisson on December 29, 2023 at Weston Country Hospital in Newcastle, Wyoming. He fought a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 6, 1935 in Stanley, Iowa to Ancil and Ona (Hefner) Sisson, he was the youngest of three siblings. Edwin attended schools in Iowa, Minneapolis and Wyoming before graduating from Moorcroft High School in 1954. On September 20, 1959 he married his beloved Carol Lee Kummerfeld. James Vernon Royer was born June 11, 1962 to Gary and Ruth Royer in Pierre, South Dakota. He spent most of his young life on a ranch being a typical young boy raising mischief. As he grew, he learned the ranch life and helped his father work cows. Jim learned how to drive tractors and trucks and used that knowledge to wrangle cattle and occasionally bring in small calves in the truck bed. Devota Dawn Hadley, 90, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Custer Monument Health. Devota was born March 22, 1933, the fourth and last child of Bert and Amy (Coon) Ferwerda in Murdo, South Dakota. The family lived in the Okaton area and Devota graduated high school in Belvidere. Luke James Sullivan couldn’t wait to be born on July 31, 2000; he was nine weeks early. Sadly, just as he came into this world early, he left it too early. Luke passed away on November 13, 2023.
